Step #2 in how to Build Your Own Website in 5 Easy Steps, focused on Uploading Content to your private Lasting Links website.

Let’s now cover Step #3, Completing the Settings.

This step is important because in it you make decisions that effect not only how your site functions, but also the content of invitations to new members, whether or not you receive notices when new content is posted, and other important elements.

To begin this step, log on to your private Lasting Links website (Go to www.lastinglinks.com and click the “Member Login” button on the right near the top of any of the blogs. Type in your username and password and click, “Submit”.)

1. Click the settings menu in the upper right-hand corner:

4. Click Quick Login, if you wish:

QuickLogin provides a quick (albeit less secure) way to access your site. By using QuickLogin, you can bypass the login process and log directly into your site.

6. Set the frequency of email notices:

You can control how often email notices are sent to you regarding new content (Photos, Articles, etc.) on your site. By default, notices of emails are set to “Daily.” If you do not want to receive any email notices, simply set all the frequencies to ‘None’. Options include the following:

• Immediate – an email will be sent as soon as new content is shared on your website
• Hourly – an email will be sent once per hour for all content shared in the last hour
• Daily – an email will be sent once per day for all content shared in the last day
• Weekly – an email will be sent once per week for all content shared in the last week
• Monthly – an email will be sent once per month for all content shared in the last month
