Build Your Own Website in 5 Easy Steps: Step #5, Working Together
One of the best, most beneficial aspects of your private Lasting Links website is the platform it provides to collaborate and communicate with others in your group.
Let’s assume you and your relatives want to make a book of remembrance on the lives of a loved one. We’ll use the content posted on the Franklin and Laura June Cole family website for our example.
First of all, we suggest you envision the end of your project from the beginning. You may want to get agreement from your group on on such topics as:
• What it is you want to accomplish (i.e., your objectives)
• Who is going to do it (i.e., assignments)
• How it will be done (i.e., your methods)
• When it will be done (i.e., your target dates)…
…and then post your decisions in a document along with your content in the various sections. Use the “Discuss” section tool to make assignments, track progress, etc.
Look at the conversation flow in this example to see how this might work for your group:
